6 Time National Champions
With six national championships, the Westminster Titan football program has a history and tradition unparalleled in the annals of small college football. The "Titan Tradition" of gridiron excellence is known throughout the nation.
Westminster's football history is unusual in another respect, in that rarely has a program been so easily divided into different eras. For Titan fans, the line of demarcation is clear: 1952, the year Dr. Harold Burry took over the reins as head football coach at Westminster. According to former Titan defensive coordinator Darwin Huey, "From that date forward, that field and its football team have never been the same."
Back to Back PAC Champions
The Westminster football team won its second-straight Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship, following a 31-6 win over Geneva in their final regular season game on Senior Day in 2021. The Titans won their first-ever PAC Championship in 2020.
The Westminster College football team capped off its 2024 season with a 27-13 win over Marietta College in the inaugural Extra Points Bowl. The Titans finished 8-3, marking another successful year under head coach Scott Benzel.
This victory adds to Westminster's strong postseason tradition, including three ECAC Bowl championships, most recently in 2019.
